Location
The most important position in the area is the ancient city of Paleros, which was located in the today Kechropoula in the south - east of peninsula. It is considered that the city existed from the mycenean period.
Paleros is located in the North-west side of Etoloakarnania and has a total amplitude of 106 klms2.
Paleros is surrounded from the Ionian Sea and the regions Anaktoro, Alizias, Medeon.
In a close distance form the coasts of Paleros are the islands Lefkas, Scorpios, Kalmos, Meganisi and more.
